Stronger Together Vol. 2 — Home Away From Home

Event description:

The second Stronger Together gathering explored the idea of creating a sense of home and belonging through community. Members and friends came together for another informal potluck, bringing food to share while connecting through conversations about culture, migration, identity and everyday life in Australia. The format deliberately prioritised conversation and human connection over performances or loud entertainment.

What we achieved:

The gathering provided an opportunity for participants to reconnect, check in with one another and build relationships beyond IQC’s larger public events. Food became a simple cultural bridge, with participants sharing dishes as well as stories and experiences. The event demonstrated how small, culturally familiar gatherings can support community wellbeing by providing time and space for people to listen, talk and feel connected.
